How to be referred
Rowley Hall Hospital accepts both GP and self-referrals for prompt spinal care.
We provide a comprehensive spinal service for all of our back and neck care patients. We offer: appointments with spinal consultants to assess and discuss your back pain, diagnostic tests, physiotherapy, pain relieving injections and back and neck surgery.
GP referral
GP’s can refer you for an outpatient appointment with one of our spinal consultants to evaluate your back or neck pain.
They can also refer directly to our imaging department for a diagnostic test including MRI, CT, X-ray and ultrasound. Appointments are usually offered within three to five days and reported back to your GP within five days.
Self-referral
If you’d like to speak to a spinal consultant about your neck or back pain, then you can book an appointment directly by calling 01785 332 898.
You can also self-refer to our physiotherapy and imaging departments.
You can book an appointment with one of our chartered physiotherapists who will assess your back or neck pain to determine if it’s related to a serious health problem, offer advice and a physiotherapy treatment plan.
If you have been advised to have a diagnostic test to evaluate your back pain further, then you can book these tests directly. A GP referral is required for a spinal imaging appointment.
